Libs Abroad Weekly Roundup Presented by Withings: 12/9

The Libs Abroad Weekly Roundup is in full swing, featuring a seven-player rotation and plenty of big-time performances to recap. Before jumping in, the New York Liberty would like to welcome Brittney Griner home! Your WNBA family missed you, BG!

Han Xu, the reigning back-to-back Most Valuable Player of China’s WCBA, put together this week’s top performance with a dominant double-double in Sichuan’s 97-61 win over Jiangsu. Han finished with 26 points and 13 boards while efficiently knocking down 64.7% (11-19) of her shots.

Han followed up with another strong performance on Wednesday, leading her club to a 78-58 victory with 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, and a pair of blocks.

Wondering if Sika Koné had another double-double this week? She sure did.

Koné posted a game-altering performance of 22 points and 12 rebounds on 61.5% (8-13) from the field, lifting Gran Canaria to an 82-80 victory against Bembibre in LF Endesa.

2-and-0 weeks didn’t stop with Han, as Marine Fauthoux and Basket Landes secured their first two victories of the season in back-to-back fashion with wins in both LFB and EuroLeague.

Fauthoux was excellent in both outings, highlighted by her 19-point performance where she converted on 66.7% (4-6) from three, dished five assists, and grabbed four boards.

In yesterday’s 76-71 win, Marine posted 13 points and four dimes with another solid three-point shooting night of 40% (2-5) from deep.
