Get in Libs Fam, we’re headed back to the Commissioner’s Cup to claim the title!

With a win over Washington, the Liberty officially punched their ticket to the 2026 Commissioner’s Cup Championship, securing a spot in the leagues in season title game on June 30.

This marks the Libs’ third Commissioner’s Cup appearance in the last four seasons. The Liberty brought home the trophy in 2023 with a championship win over Las Vegas, returned to the title game in 2024 against Minnesota, and later went on to capture the franchise’s first WNBA championship that same season.

After an 8-game winning streak and going 6-0 in Commissioner’s Cup games, the Libs raised a $18,000 in proceeds that will be donated to the African American Forum Policy. With an undefeated Commissioner’s Cup record, the Libs are bringing the Championship game to Brooklyn where we’ll tip off at Barclays Center on June 30th at 7:00pm/ET!

Ellie’s the birthday!🎉

The birthday girl did not come to play!

Big Ellie celebrated her special day in true BK fashion as Barclays Center showed up and showed out for Ellie’s Birthday presented by Dunkin’. Our Gemini queen stepped onto the scene in a pink sparkly donut dress, complete with matching Essie nails, and spent the entire day being showered with love.

The surprises kept coming. Spotify gifted Ellie a custom pair of headphones, while Coach hooked her up with a gorgeous Tabby bag fit for the birthday girl. And because no party is complete without friends, Skye from the Chicago Sky and Violet from the Golden State Valkyries pulled up to celebrate. The trio even gave the crowd a Destiny’s Child inspired performance that had the arena and social media buzzing.

Ellie also took center stage at halftime alongside the kids from her dance clinic, showing off the moves they had been working on leading up to the big day. Then after the final buzzer, the celebration continued at her postgame birthday party, another gift from Spotify.

From the fits to the performances to the party, Ellie had herself a day. ELLIE’S THE BIRTHDAY!

We lit it up for Pride Night!

The Libs hosted its annual Pride Night presented by Lyft bringing fans together for a celebration of community, inclusion, and self-expression. Festivities began with a Pride Block Party on the Plaza featuring sounds by DJ Babes, community partner activations, and an interactive experience with the NYC LGBTQ+ Historic Sites Project, which highlighted the rich history and lasting impact of LGBTQ+ communities across New York City.

Inside Barclays Center, the celebration continued with special Pride-themed programming throughout the night, including a show-stopping halftime performance from Elliedonna, as Ellie transformed into pop icon Madonna. Pride Night continues to reflect the Liberty’s commitment to creating a welcoming space where everyone can celebrate authentically and proudly!

Another week, another honor for Stewie.🌟

Another week, another honor for Stew York!

After leading the Liberty to a perfect 2-0 week, Stewie was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season, becoming the first player in the WNBA to earn multiple weekly honors in 2026.

Stewie averaged 24.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals while helping the Liberty extend a strong start to the season. Stew York was on another level that week dropping a 30-piece in a win against the Fever at home – she hopped in her bag in the fourth quarter scoring 15 points to power a comeback win or the squad.

The POTW award marks the 20th Player of the Week she has secured since joining the W and her 10th as a member of the Liberty.
