Paris Kea Medical Update

NEW YORK – January 7, 2021 – New York Liberty guard Paris Kea underwent successful anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery on her left knee yesterday. Paris suffered the injury while playing overseas in Israel for Maccabi Haifa. The procedure was performed by Dr. Riley Williams III at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Kea will begin rehabilitation next week and is expected to make a full recovery.

After joining the Liberty in August of 2020, Kea averaged 6.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 15.0 minutes per game over 11 contests, five of which she started.

A mid-season signing, Paris is currently not under contract with the Liberty in 2021, although New York maintains her rights.
