On Saturday, the New York Liberty (13-4) defeated the Seattle Storm (4-13), 80-76, in the third game of their 2023 four-game season series. New York remains undefeated against Seattle this season.

At Barclays Center, the Liberty finished on 40.9% (27-66) shooting from the field, 43.3% (13-30) from three, and 86.7% (13-15) at the free throw line.

Breanna Stewart finished with a game-high 25 points on 47.1% (8-17) shooting from the field, including 57.1% (4-7) from three, a team-high eight rebounds, and three assists.

Highlighted by a nine-point fourth quarter, Sabrina Ionescu totaled 20 points on 46.2% (6-13) shooting from the floor, including 50% (6-12) from deep, a game-high eight assists, and four rebounds. With her eighth assist at the 1:22 mark of the third, Ionescu recorded her 500th career assist, making her, at 84 games played, the fourth fastest player in WNBA history to reach the milestone.

 For Seattle, Sami Whitcomb finished with a team-high 19 points, six rebounds, and three assists off the bench, while Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu added 12 points and a career-high 14 rebounds.
