Breanna Stewart Earns Second Eastern Conference Player of the Week Honor
NEW YORK – JUNE 13, 2023 – The WNBA announced today that New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from Monday, June 5 to Sunday, June 11.
Stewart powered New York to its first pair of consecutive 100-plus point games in franchise history with victories over the Atlanta Dream and Dallas Wings. In those contests, she averaged 28.5 points, nine rebounds, 3.5 blocks, and three assists per game while converting on a combined 59.5% (22-37) from the field and 60% (6-10) from three-point range.
With her 32-point performance on June 11, Breanna became the second player in WNBA history to record 30-plus points on 20 field goal attempts or less without attempting a free throw (Elena Della Donne, July 30, 2019).
This weekly honor is Stewart’s 12th of her career, her second as a member of the Eastern Conference, and the 50th all-time in Liberty history.
