Ionescu to make WNBA STARRY® 3-Point Contest debut

NEW YORK – JULY 13, 2023 – The WNBA announced today that Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu has been selected to participate in the WNBA STARRY® 3-Point Contest tomorrow, Friday, July 14 at Michelob ULTRA Arena as part of 2023 WNBA All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas.

Ionescu will make her competition debut after a career-best shooting start to the 2023 season. Among players with over five attempts from beyond the arc per game, Sabrina is pacing the league at 44.6% from three (54-121) through 16 contests. She will also partner with Courtney Vandersloot in the 2023 Kia WNBA Skills Challenge.

The WNBA STARRY® 3-Point Contest and Kia WNBA Skills Challenge will air on ESPN on Friday, July 14 at 4 p.m. ET. Ionescu and Vandersloot will join Breanna Stewart on Team Stewart in the 2023 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday, July 15 on ABC at 8:30 p.m. ET.
