NEW YORK (March 21, 2024) – The New York Liberty announced today its 2024 theme game schedule, featuring 10 theme nights, including the return of several fan favorites. The full list of theme games, brought to life in this video by team mascot Ellie the Elephant, can also be found below:
The 2024 theme game schedule will kick off with the Liberty’s Home Opener on May 18, followed by New York’s third annual Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Night on May 23.
June will feature an action-packed slate of Ellie’s Birthday on June 9, the Liberty’s 10th annual PRIDE game presented by RMA of New York on June 22, and the team’s third annual Sneakerhead game presented by Nike on June 30.
Following the WNBA All-Star and Olympic breaks, the team will host a pair of theme nights: the Liberty’s fourth annual Women’s Empowerment game on Aug. 20 presented by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and eighth annual UNITY game on Aug. 24.
To close out the regular season, the Liberty will celebrate its final three theme games in September, beginning with its second annual West Indian Night on Sept. 5, second annual Noche Latina on Sept. 15, and Fan Appreciation on Sept. 19.
The New York Liberty’s 2024 season tips off on May 14.
