Jonquel Jones helped lead Inner Mongolia to an undefeated month during her 10-game WCBA slate in December. Over that stretch, Jones averaged 22.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, and four assists per game on a combined 61.2% (90-147) shooting from the field.
To open the month, on Dec. 4, she posted her then highest scoring output of the WCBA season with a dominant double-double of 35 points and 20 rebounds in an 83-82 win over Shanghai.
Later that week, Jonquel followed up with another double-double of 19 points and 12 boards alongside six assists.
Over the next eight contests between Dec. 9 – 28, Jones recorded six more double-doubles with an average of 21.5 points and 12.4 rebounds; highlighted by her 25-point, 16-rebound outing on 71.4% (10-14) from the field and 50% (2-4) from three to close out the 2023 calendar.
Jonquel and Inner Mongolia are currently in first place with a 26-1 overall record and will return to action on Feb. 17 against Sichuan Yuanda (24-2).
