On Friday, the New York Liberty (8-3) defeated the Atlanta Dream (5-7), 110-80, in the third game of their 2023 four-game season series and third matchup in 14 days.

At Gateway Center Arena, the Liberty finished on 48.6% (36-74) shooting from the field, 48.6% (17-35) from three, and 77.8% (21-27) at the free throw line.

New York’s 110 points are the second-most points scored in a single game in franchise history. Tonight’s 30-point margin of victory is the Liberty’s largest in their all-time series against Atlanta, their second-largest road margin of victory in franchise history, and their first 30-point victory since their 92-62 win over Chicago in 2017.

New York knocked down a season-high 17 three-pointers tonight, one shy of tying the franchise record, en route to their third game of 100+ points this season, as well as their third consecutive finish in triple digits with their everyday starting five.

The Liberty also finished with a season-high 42 rebounds and 13 steals.

Betnijah Laney finished with 19 points on 58.3% (7-12) shooting from the field, including a season-high four triples on 50% (4-8) from deep, three rebounds, and three assists.

Highlighted by a season-high 12-point first quarter, Jonquel Jones finished with a season-high 18 points on 66.7% (6-9) shooting from the floor, including 66.7% (2-3) from three, nine rebounds, and two blocks.

Marine Johannès added 18 points on 60% (6-10) shooting from the floor, including a season-high four threes on 71.4% (5-7) from deep, and two assists.
