In honor of Women’s History Month, Carmax, Brooklyn Nets, and Long Island Nets teamed up to celebrate the Liberty and highlight women’s contributions to society during their annual Women’s Impact Night games
Each Women’s Impact Night not only highlighted the women’s game but also celebrated unity and empowerment —- During these games, our brother teams, both wearing our signature seafoam, championed us as an organization and the phenomenal women who make basketball and the world a better place. It was a reminder that basketball isn’t just about stats and scores—it’s about unity, empowerment, and cheering each other on, regardless of gender.
Our MVP Breanna Stewart and Floor General Courtney Vandersloot were in attendance at last Tuesday’s Brooklyn Nets game where they showed love courtside and also participated in the game ball delivery before tip-off. Sloot also pulled up to Long Island on Thursday for an autograph session ahead of the Long Island Nets’ tip-off.
Witnessing fans of all ages and backgrounds come together to support women in sports was another example of why the W is important. From the halftime shows, which featured Ellie the Elephant and Timeless Torches, to the energy in the arena, each night was electric!
