New York, NY (May 21, 2015) – MSG Networks will telecast all 17 New York Liberty home games for the 2015 WNBA season starting Friday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. when the team hosts the Atlanta Dream at Madison Square Garden.
MSG Network’s Liberty broadcast team will feature veteran play-by-play announcer Mike Crispino along with analysts Rosalyn Gold-Onwude, who returns for her fourth season behind the mic, and Julianne Viani.
The 2015 Liberty feature an exciting mix of veteran leadership, promising young talent, and homegrown superstars. Queens native and 2012 WNBA MVP Tina Charles is back for her second season with the Liberty. She is joined by new acquisition and Brooklyn native Epiphanny Prince, and Paterson, New Jersey, product Essence Carson. New York drafted highly touted All-American guard Brittany Boyd and center Kiah Stokes in the first round, and signed veteran leaders and former WNBA champions in Swin Cash, Tanisha Wright, and Candice Wiggins. Head coach Bill Laimbeer returns for his third season in New York, and has put together one of the most heralded coaching staffs in the league. Katie Smith, the all-time leading scorer in women’s professional basketball history, is in her second season as an assistant coach, Herb Williams joins the team for his first season after 11 years as an NBA assistant coach and Liberty legend Teresa “T-Spoon” Weatherspoon re-joins the franchise as the Director of Player Development.
