Liberty Announce 2017 Playoff Tickets On Sale

PURCHASE TICKETS TO 2ND ROUND GAME ON SEPT. 10 AT THE GARDEN

New York, N.Y. – September 1, 2017 – The New York Liberty announced today that tickets for its 2017 WNBA Playoffs single-elimination 2nd Round Game on Sunday, Sept. 10, at Madison Square Garden are on sale now. The Liberty will host the Washington Mystics at The Garden at 5 PM.

The Liberty are in the midst of one of the most successful stretches in franchise history, having clinched a 3rd-straight postseason berth. New York (20-12) has now won at least 20 regular season games in 3-consecutive seasons for the 1st time in franchise history, having posted a 64-36 (.640) record over that span. Perennial All-Star Tina Charles is posting another MVP caliber season, ranking 2nd in the WNBA averaging 19.9 ppg, and the Liberty’s current 8-game winning streak is its 2nd longest in team history.

Should the Liberty advance to the WNBA Semifinals, Game 3 of the best-of-5 series scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 17, would not be played at Madison Square Garden due to the Paul McCartney concert scheduled for that evening. Game 3 would take place instead at the Westchester County Center. Game 4, if necessary, would be at The Garden, along with all other potential Liberty home playoff games.

“While there is a conflict with Madison Square Garden for a potential home playoff game due to a Paul McCartney concert, the New York Liberty will strive to create a first-class playoff environment for both our players and fans at Westchester County Center,” Team President Isiah Thomas said. “We look forward to playing all of our other potential home playoff games at The Garden.”

Tickets can be purchased at the Madison Square Garden Box Office, online at NYLiberty.com, by calling 212-465-6073, all Ticketmaster outlets, or Ticketmaster.com/NYLiberty. All ticket orders are subject to service charges. To inquire about tickets for people with disabilities, please call the Madison Square Garden Disabled Services Department at (212) 465-6034.
