Tina Charles at the 2015 WNBA All-Star Game

UNCASVILLE, CONN. – JULY 25, 2015 – New York Liberty center Tina Charles helped lead the Eastern Conference All-Stars against the West in the Boost Mobile WNBA All-Star 2015 on Saturday afternoon at Mohegan Sun Arena, but the West ultimately prevailed 117-112 with Maya Moore from the Minnesota Lynx taking MVP honors.

Charles made a strong early case for MVP herself, scoring 13 points to lead all scorers in the first half of the game, as the East took a 59-58 lead into the half.

For Charles, it was her fourth-straight All-Star Appearance (2011, 2013, 2014, 2015) and the second time she was voted in as a starter by the fans.

The action packed day included team photos, warming up with fans, game action and signing autographs for kids after the game, check out the play-by-play.

The East and West players met in the Mohegan Sun Hotel lobby before being escorted to the arena.

Both teams posed for group photos on the court before warmups and media availability began.

Tina made sure to sign autographs for some fans during warmups, including one young fan rocking a #31 Liberty jersey!

Tina said one of her favorite parts of All-Star weekend is the camaraderie between all of the players. She enjoyed a funny moment with Marissa Coleman from the Indiana Fever and Danielle Robinson from the San Antonio Stars during pre-game shoot around.

The players were sure to have a little bit of fun during pre-game introductions, Tina and Brittney Griner were announced as starters opposite one another and got into #NationalDanceDay out at center court!

In the first quarter Tina had a great time cheering on her teammates, here she gets really into a 3-point shot from Alex Bently.

Tina led all scorers with 13 first-half points, as she drives to the rim during the first half of play.

After the game all of the players were sure to thank the fans in attendance, signing autographs, throwing out t-shirts and other souvenirs. Tina was sure to make sure to help out all of the kids she could.

She talked with MSG Networks before and after the game about what it means to be voted an All-Star starter and what she enjoyed most about the game.
