An exciting day of action for the New York Liberty stars competing in the EuroLeague and EuroCup quarterfinals. Epiphanny Prince and Dynamo Kursk advanced to the EuroLeague semifinals after picking up a 104-102 win over Bourges. Now she awaits the result of a decisive 3rd game between Amanda Zahui B and Orenburg and Kia Vaughn and USK Praha. Vaughn’s squad was able to extend their series thanks to a 64-55 win on Friday.
In EuroCup action, Rebecca Allen and Good Angels Kosice saw their season come to an end after falling to Galatasaray (Moriah Jefferson) 82-66, losing the aggregate scoring by just 5 points.
Tanisha Wright and Abdullah Gul cruised into the EuroCup semifinals, sweeping away BLMA in France. Thanks to a big lead from the 1st win earlier in the week, Wright and some other stars played limited action in Friday’s win. She scored 4 points with 2 assists in 5 minutes of action.

EuroLeague Group Record: 14-0
Playing one of her best international games of the year, Epiphanny Prince helped lead Dynamo Kursk to a 104-92 win at Bourges on Friday to punch a ticket to next month’s EuroLeague Women semifinals. Prince finished with 19 points, nailing a pair of 3-pointers, while dishing out 8 assists, with three rebounds. Dynamo Kursk remains the only team that is unbeaten in EuroLeague play this season. She will see a familiar face when the semifinals tip off on April 14, as she will face either Amanda Zahui B and Orenburg or Kia Vaughn and USK Praha.

EuroLeague Group Record: 10-4
Despite yet another huge game from Amanda Zahui B, Orenburg was unable to knock Kia Vaughn and USK Praha out of the EuroLeague Tournament, setting up a decisive third game next week in Orenburg. Zahui B posted 23 points and 9 rebounds in Friday afternoon’s matchup, but her squad suffered a 64-55 setback. They will have the opportunity to host the final quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday, March 15, with the winner advancing to face Epiphanny Prince and Dynamo Kursk in the league semifinals next month.
KIA VAUGHN
EuroLeague Group Record: 9-5
Kia Vaughn hauled in 12 rebounds and scored 4 points as USK Praha kept its EuroLeague Women season alive with a 64-55 win over Orenburg on Friday. Facing elimination with a loss, Praha jumped out to an early lead and managed to hang on for the big win. They now will travel to Orenburg for a decisive 3rd game next Wednesday, with the winner advancing to next month’s semifinals against Epiphanny Prince and Dynamo Kursk.

EuroCup Group Record: 3-3
Rebecca Allen and Good Angels were eliminated from the EuroCup quarterfinals after suffering an 82-66 loss to Galatasaray in the second leg of their series. After taking the 1st game by 11 points, the 16 point loss means that Good Angels fell 6 points shy in aggregate from moving on to the semifinals. Allen finished the game with 8 points, nailing a pair of 3-pointers, with 5 rebounds and a couple of assists. Moriah Jefferson scored 25 points with 3 assists to lead Galatasaray.
TANISHA WRIGHT
EuroCup Group Record: 6-0
Already holding a sizable lead in their EuroCup quarterfinal series with BLMA, Abdullah Gul opted not to lean heavily on some of its stars and still picked up a 73-68 win in the second leg to advance to the league semifinals. Tanisha Wright played just 5 minutes in the win, scoring 4 points with a pair of assists. Abdullah Gul will begin its two-game semifinal series with Hatay on March 21.
