Team Celebrates the Contributions of Women in New York
BROOKLYN – March 29, 2021 – Today the New York Liberty announced #OwnTheCrown as the team’s official marketing campaign for the 25th anniversary season.
Brooklyn-based creative agency Oddsense and its Creative Director, Regina Park, as well as Director of Photography, Kayli Weiss, produced the team’s #OwnTheCrown spot featuring voiceover from Liberty Ring of Honor member, Naismith Hall of Famer and New Orleans Pelicans Assistant Coach, Teresa Weatherspoon.
“The #OwnTheCrown campaign pays homage to women who continue to break barriers like the women of the Liberty have done for the last 25 years,” said Shana Stephenson, Liberty’s VP of Marketing. “From on-and off-court legends of the franchise like T-Spoon, to local business owners, youth athletes, activists and artists, the team will celebrate the journey of women who are vital to not only the history of the organization, but the overall empowerment of women, and the diverse culture of New York City.”
Throughout the 2021 season, the Liberty will feature #OwnTheCrown across all social platforms, multimedia assets and team-related materials. The spot will also run leading into the season and on broadcast during some of the team’s televised games.
