MSG Adds Liberty Away Games to Schedule

New York, NY – July 10, 2015 – MSG Networks announced today that New York Liberty away games for the 2015 WNBA season have been added to the schedule. MSG Networks will now carry 29 of the 34 Liberty regular season games, including this Sunday’s Eastern Conference showdown at Atlanta, which will be carried live on MSG at 3 p.m.

“We are very excited our fans will now be able to follow the Liberty on MSG Networks all season long, as the team competes in critical matchups across the country,” said New York Liberty Team President Isiah Thomas. “I heard the message from many of our fans, that it was important to be able to see New York Liberty home and away games broadcast locally, and we are happy to be able to make that a reality this season.”

The 2015 Liberty campaign is off to an exciting start, as the team is coming off a 79-76 win overtime win at Washington on Thursday, which thrust them into second place in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference, just a half game out of first. Former league MVP Tina Charles is once again leading the way, averaging 15.6 points and 9.1 rebounds per game; she eclipsed 3,000-career points in that victory over Washington, becoming the 10th-fastest player in WNBA history to do so. All-Star guard Epiphanny Prince recently made her New York debut after joining the team in a blockbuster offseason trade. The Liberty boasts two of the most exciting young stars in the league — center Kiah Stokes, who is establishing herself as an elite interior defender, and rookie Brittany Boyd, whose flashy play regularly excites the crowd at Madison Square Garden.
