As the EuroLeague regular season finishes, the WCBA and EuroCup playoffs continue, and several domestic leagues begin looking ahead to their respective postseasons, the Libs Abroad Weekly Roundup is here to catch you up on all the team’s overseas action. See below for this week’s recap:

After a stellar February campaign where she led Sichuan to seven consecutive wins, Han Xu was recently named the Libs Abroad Player of the Month.

Led by Han, Sichuan (currently 19-0) is poised to return to the WCBA Finals after sweeping Wuhan 2-0 in the Quarterfinals and taking a 1-0 lead over Shanghai in the Quarterfinals. She is currently amidst a two-game 20+ point scoring streak, headlined by her 24-point and 15-rebound double-double to clinch the opening series victory.

Highlights

Leonie Fiebich led Zaragoza in their EuroCup Quarterfinal matchup, finishing with a game-high double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds while converting on a combined 70% (7-10) from the floor and 60% (3-5) from three.

In the contest prior, she recorded a near double-double of 12 points and eight boards against Sika Koné in LF Endesa action.

Three-Point Highlights

Breanna Stewart posted her fourth double-double of the season with Fenerbahçe, totaling a team-high 18 points and 11 rebounds on 50% (3-6) shooting from distance en route to a 90-79 win over Bourges. With the victory, Stewart helped clinch a EuroLeague Quarterfinal berth against Sopron.

Sika Koné secured her 17th double-double of the season in Gran Canaria’s 63-54 victory against Zaragoza, tallying 14 points and 10 boards on 70% (7-10) from the floor across a full 40-minute slate.

Jocelyn Willoughby was a board shy of a double-double, finishing with 12 points, nine rebounds, and a pair of assists while knocking down two-of-three from distance against Townsville.

Yesterday, Marine Johannès accepted her qualifying offer and re-signed with the New York Liberty.

Marine’s week was highlighted by 16 points and seven dimes in Lyon’s 85-69 victory over Roche on Sunday. In Wednesday’s 70-61 EuroCup Quarterfinal win, Johannès added eight points and three assists on 50% (2-4) from three.

In her second contest with Fenerbahçe, Courtney Vandersloot tallied nine points, six assists, and five boards on 50% (4-8) from the floor where she finished with a game-high +/- of 19.

Raquel Carrera secured two wins this week, also helping Valencia punch its ticket to the EuroLeague Quarterfinals later in the month against Schio.

Carrera led off with eight points and four boards, followed by seven points and a trio of rebounds on 60% (3-5) from the field in LF Endesa and EuroLeague, respectively.

Marine Fauthoux posted a well-balanced line of 12 points, six rebounds, and four assists on 44.4% (4-9) from the field in Landes’ 80-67 LFB victory against Flammes.

Epiphanny Prince helped Galatasaray take a two-game lead in the EuroCup Quarterfinals, adding five points and a pair of rebounds on 66.7% (2-3) from the field in 12 minutes.
