Han Xu led Sichuan Yuanda to a WCBA Finals appearance in her second consecutive WCBA Most Valuable Player campaign. Han finished the regular season with averages of 20.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game in Sichuan’s perfect 17-0 campaign. The 22-year-old center continued her stellar play into the postseason, averaging 18.3 points and 10.0 boards over four contests.

Sami Whitcomb recorded a pair of wins with the Perth Lynx. Sami’s week was highlighted by another all-around performance of 17 points on seven of 13 shooting (53.8%), six rebounds, and two steals across 39 minutes in the Lynx’s thrilling 83-79 overtime win. Earlier today, Whitcomb added five points on a perfect five-for-five from the free throw line in Perth’s second victory of the young WNBL season.

In her first contest of 2022, Bec Allen led Valencia in scoring with a team-high 15 points, including a pair of threes, and five rebounds in a narrow 66-68 EuroCup loss against Ormanspor. Bec will pivot to an exciting LF Endesa matchup tomorrow against Michaela Onyenwere and Spar Girona.

On December 8, Marine Fauthoux recorded 15 points on four of eight (50.0%) shooting from the field, three of seven from beyond the arc (42.8%), and a season-high seven rebounds against Villeneuve in domestic play.

Marine Johannès and LDLC ASVEL Féminin also secured a pair of victories this week. Marine totaled 11 points and four points in each of the two games, which was highlighted by a three of seven-shooting performance (42.8%) from deep in Lyon’s 67-45 win over Hainaut.
