“At Xbox, we dream big. Collaborating with Roblox and the New York Liberty to bring a basketball court to life, in both the virtual and physical worlds, was audacious to say the least,” said Marcos Waltenberg, Director, Xbox Global Partnerships. “And yet here we are today with the courts for everyone to play on and see.  When you combine the imagination of Xbox, the creativity of Roblox, and an amazing team like the Liberty, great ideas do come to life.  We hope fans from around the world can enjoy a truly unique moment when they either tune-in to watch the games on August 2 and 3 or play on the court in Infinite Canvas’ Dunk Simulator on Roblox.”

“Our partnership with Xbox is especially meaningful because it’s part of a larger effort to the highlight the power of women in sports and gaming,” said Liberty CEO Keia Clarke. “As we look to grow our game and fanbase, we’re thankful to partners like Xbox for their commitment to supporting women and innovation in sports.”

This summer, as part of Xbox’s ongoing commitment to amplify the representation of women in sports and gaming, the brand also launched programs with the England Senior Women’s Football Team, the France Senior Women’s Football Team, the Atlanta Dream, and talent including Sabrina Ionescu, to inspire the next generation of women gamers and athletes to dream big.
