Liberty Fall to Aces 78-100, Kylee Shook Posts Career-Highs in Points and Rebounds


In the second matchup of a four-game road trip, the New York Liberty (6-5) fell to the Las Vegas Aces (9-3), 100-78.

In a contest that saw six lead changes and three ties, New York finished with 18 team assists. The team also totaled 25 rebounds and 9 steals. New York led by as many as 11 in the first half.

The Liberty tallied 36 points in the paint and converted on 9 fast break points. New York finished on 47.5% (29-61) shooting from the field and 32.1% (9-28) from beyond the arc.

Jazmine Jones led all Liberty scorers with a season-high 17 points on 75.0% (6-8) from the field, 75.0% (3-4) from deep, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

Kylee Shook added a career-high 12 points on 45.5% (5-11) shooting from the field, tied a career-high two made threes, and a career-high 9 rebounds. Ten of her 12 points came in the first half, leading the Liberty through the first 20 minutes.

Betnijah Laney recorded 15 points on 58.3% (7-12) from the field and a team-high 6 assists.

Sami Whitcomb totaled 10 points on 75.0% (3-4) from the field, shot 100% (3-3) from free throw line, and grabbed 5 boards.

Kelsey Plum game scoring with a career-high 32 points on 68.8% (11-16) shooting, 50.0% (3-6) from three, and 100% (7-7) from the line.

Dearica Hamby tallied 16 points on 87.5% (7-8) shooting from the field to go along with 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
