In her third professional season, Kia Nurse appeared in 21 of the Liberty’s 22-games. Nurse averaged a team-best (among active players) 12.2 points per game, 2.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game over a team-high 27.5 minutes per game. She recorded a season-high 21 points on two occasions, 7 rebounds three times, and 7 assists (Dallas, 9/13), which was a career-high.
On September 10, Nurse entered the contest against the Indiana Fever with 986 total career points. Her 18-point performance helped her surpass the 1,000-point mark, making her the 221st player in league history to reach the milestone and the second on the Liberty’s current roster behind Layshia Clarendon (1592).
