Laura Marano to Perform at Liberty Back to School Night presented by Kids Foot Locker on Sept. 9

NEW YORK, NY – August 24, 2016 – The New York Liberty will help usher in a new school year with  Back-to-School Night presented by Kids Foot Locker, as they take on the Connecticut Sun on Friday, Sept. 9 at 7:30pm at Madison Square Garden. The Liberty will welcome singer Laura Marano to the court for a special halftime performance for fans, who can also expect to partake in a series of fun activities including school supply giveaways, contests and more. Additionally, the Liberty will be celebrating Garden of Dreams Night, which will highlight Madison Square Garden’s Garden of Dreams Foundation and the children it impacts.

The New York Liberty’s Back-to-School night will give fans the chance to watch actress and singer Laura Marano perform her hit “Boombox” as well as her brand new single “La La” on the court at Madison Square Garden during halftime. Fans can also visit liberty.wnba.com to enter a sweepstakes to win two courtside seats next to Marano at the game, as she cheers on the Liberty against the Sun. The first 5,000 fans to enter The Garden will receive a Laura Marano poster in addition to a Kids Footlocker Back-to-School pocket folder.

Liberty fans are encouraged to donate new sports equipment to the first annual Girls Sports Drive, to help benefit young girls who are in need of new athletic gear as they head into the new school year and pursue new activities or continue playing their favorite sports.
