TENERIFE, SPAIN – September 25, 2018 – Rebecca Allen and the Chemist Warehouse Australian Opals downed Turkey, 90-64, sweeping its way through group phase B to secure a 2018 FIBA World Cup quarterfinals berth.
The Opals have now poured in an average of 86.7 points through their three games played and average a 28.3-point margin of victory.
Australia dominated from tipoff shooting an astounding 64.7-percent in the opening frame and 69.0-percent in the second quarter. Turkey shot just 37.1-percent for the match.
By the intermission, Australia controlled Turkey by 20 and for the next two quarters, Turkey failed to fill inch any closer.
Today, Allen was the second-leading scorer sinking 45.4-percent of her looks for 13 points. Her four rebounds and three helpers were both good for third highest on the team.

Australia’s winning ways grants it a two-day rest. During that time, its quarterfinal opponent will be determined, and both will matchup Friday, September 28.
