Plenette's Yummy Tips for V-Day!

Hey Liberty Fans,
Happy Valentines Day! On this holiday I would enjoy either cooking or going out to eat.

If I were cooking, my ideal dinner for two would be Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon, sweet potato casserole, and greens.

If I were going out on the town for a romantic dinner I would have to say Id like to go to The SunDial restaurant in Atlanta. It has an amazing view of the city, great food, and a great ambiance.

For those of you looking to keep it simple but also delicious, try a homemade dessert! My Valentine's Day "Be Mine" dessert would be Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Heres the recipe for you to use:

PLENETTEs BE MINE CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES:

Ingredients:

16 oz of milk chocolate chips
2 tablespoons of shortening
1 lb of fresh strawberries with the leaves on it
Directions:

In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and shortening, stirring occasionally until smooth. Holding them by the toothpicks, dip the strawberries into the chocolate mixture.
Insert toothpicks into the tops of the strawberries.

Turn the strawberries upside down and insert the toothpick into Styrofoam for the chocolate to cool.

*Note: If you don't have a double broiler you can take a pot of boiling water and place a glass mixing bowl over it and place the chocolate inside the mixing bowl and that will also work as a double broiler.

Happy Valentines Day Liberty fans! Eat up and enjoy!
