December 4, 2006 - New York, NY - Loree Moore and Shameka Christon are in the mood to give this holiday season, and they hope Liberty fans are as well. In fact, they'll give if you will. On Tuesday, December 5, the Liberty guards will join several Knicks players in giving autographs in exchange for food.
In partnership with the Garden of Dreams Foundation and City Harvest, the Liberty and Knicks players will be at two Whole Foods Market locations on Tuesday, providing their autographs to every fan that donates a food item. The Liberty and Knicks hope that with your help they will be able to fight childhood hunger this holiday season.
Loree Moore will join Nate Robinson and Renaldo Balkman at Whole Foods Market at Union Square (E. 14 St. between 5th Ave. and Broadway) from 4-6:00pm.
Shameka Christon will be on hand with Jamal Crawford and Mardy Collins at the Whole Foods in Chelsea (7th Ave. between W. 24 and 25 Sts.), also from 4-6:00pm.
Fans are encouraged to donate canned food or non-perishable items. Fans may choose to purchase items at Whole Foods or bring food with them. All collected items will be delivered to some of the 500 community food programs served by the Garden of Dreams and City Harvest.
A can of green beans for Loree or Shameka's autograph? That's the best gift exchange you will have all holiday season!
